Jeju Island
Overview
Jeju Island is a volcanic island located off the southern coast of South Korea, known for its natural beauty and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The island is home to various scenic spots, including Hallasan Mountain, the Manjanggul Cave, and the Jeju Folk Village. Jeju is also famous for its delicious cuisines, such as the Jeju Black Pork and the Haemultang seafood stew.
What makes Jeju Island so special?
While Jeju Island may be known more for it's emerald waters and sandy beaches, it also has the tallest mountain in Korea at 1,950 meters (6,398 feet). Hallasan Mountain rises up in the center of Jeju Island and has over 350 volcano shaped peaks.
