Tour Plan

Day 1: Seoul

Welcome to Seoul! Airport arrival transfer to our city centre hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Seoul Sightseeing

Today, enjoy a guided tour of Seoul's highlights. Visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the former main residence of the Joseon Dynasty, and explore the National Folk Museum located within the palace grounds. Take a tour of Jogyesa Temple, the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea, and visit Insadong, a lively alley with art galleries, antique, craft and pottery shops, traditional restaurants, and tea houses. Stroll alongside Cheonggycheon Stream through the heart of downtown and visit Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for spectacular panoramic views of the city from the observatory.

Day 3: The DMZ

Embark on an exciting excursion to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), located 45km north of Seoul. The DMZ acts as a buffer zone and border between the two nations of North and South Korea. Your private tour will provide a fascinating insight into the events that resulted in Korea’s division. Visit Imjingak Park, built to commemorate those who lost their homes and families when Korea was divided. Explore the 3rd North Korean Infiltration Tunnel, which is 1.5km in length and 150m below ground, and visit Dora Observatory situated on Mount Dora, which allows you to peek into the reclusive north. Visit Dorasan Station, once used for freight trains to travel between the South and the North. The tour coach makes a stop at an amethyst or ginseng shop on the way back to Seoul for those who are interested.

Day 4: Andong

Today, embark on a guided tour of Seoul's highlights. Visit the grand Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main residence of the Joseon Dynasty, and explore the National Folk Museum showcasing Korean culture and history within the palace grounds. Take a tour of Jogyesa Temple, the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea, and walk through Insadong, a lively antique alley with art galleries, craft shops, and traditional restaurants. Stroll alongside Cheonggycheon Stream through downtown's skyscrapers and visit Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for spectacular panoramic views of the city from the observatory.

Day 5: Gyeongju - Capital of Silla Kingdom

Travel south to the historic Gyeongju, known as the ‘museum without walls,’ which was the capital of Silla Kingdom from 57BC to 935AD. Visit Gyeongju National Museum, home to countless treasures including the 23 ton Emille Bell cast in AD771. At Tumuli Park, see the incredible giant grass-covered burial mounds which house the Silla royal tombs. Take a stroll around scenic Anapji Pond where the Silla royal family spent their leisure time. Another highlight of today’s tour is Cheomseongdae Observatory, one of the world’s oldest astronomical observatories.

Day 6: Bulguksa & Seokguram Temple

Visit two UNESCO World Heritage Listed temples: Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple. Seokguram Grotto, one of Asia's finest Buddhist shrines, is located on the slopes of Toham Mountain. Bulguksa Temple was built during the Silla Dynasty in 528. Depart for Seoul in the afternoon and spend the final evening at leisure in the capital city.

Day 7: Seoul

After breakfast and hotel check-out, spend the remainder of the day at leisure before your transfer to the airport
